Overview

Hanamizuki Matsu is a spacious 85-square-meter vacation home located just two train stops away from Osaka’s famous Namba area, south-west of Tennoji Zoo. This Western-style home is complemented by hints of Japanese design, with shoji (Japanese sliding paper door) inspired window coverings. This double story home offers plenty of space and can accommodate groups of up to eight people.

The home features its own unique style quirks and is easily livable. Its abundant sleeping arrangements make it an incredibly flexible home and an equally great choice for both holidaymakers visiting Osaka and those looking for a longer-term rental option. Featuring a convertible sofa bed, 55-inch flat-screen television, and a dining table, this area is a great place to enjoy meals and entertainment as a group. At the front of the house is a Japanese-style tatami room with a table and chairs, two single futons, and a shoji (Japanese sliding paper door) connecting to the living area. Further back, a large bathroom sits next to a fully equipped stocked kitchenette and separate restroom. The second level features one large bedroom with three comfortable double beds, another full bathroom and restroom, and a room divider for added privacy.  Hanamizuki Matsu is fun, flexible and easily livable.

Location

Hanamizuki Matsu’s Nishinari Ward location offers an excellent position for getting around the city. For public transport, Hanazonocho Station is just a three-minute walk, Haginochaya Station is a five-minute walk, and Tengachaya Station is a 10-minute walk away. 

A short train ride will bring you directly to the famous Namba and Shinsaibashi areas, which are packed with popular sightseeing destinations like Dotonbori Canal, Hozen-ji Temple, Shin-Kabukiza Theatre, and Americka-mura. Further down the line is Nishi-Umeda, where you can discover the Umeda Sky Building and some of the most exciting retail destinations in the city. If you’re interested in a relaxing day-trip, consider taking the Nankai Koya line from Haginochaya Station to Mount Koya, a UNESCO world heritage site.

If you enjoy walking, you will be amazed by what you can access on foot. Tsutenkaku Tower, Tennoji Zoo, and Osaka City Museum of Fine Art can all be reached in under 15 minutes from your front door. The surrounding Nishinari streets are full of local hangouts, izakaya (Japanese pubs), and shopping arcades with affordable prices. A convenience store and 24-hour supermarket are both located just three-to-five minutes from the property.

For traveling by shinkansen (bullet train), Hanamizuki Matsu is just a 25-minute cab-ride or a straightforward half-an-hour journey on the train from Shin-Osaka Station. If you’re arriving or departing by airplane, Kansai International Airport is a 40-minute cab-ride or a direct 55-minute journey on the train.

Hanamizuki Matsu has an extensive selection of exceptional comforts and amenities for you to enjoy. The kitchenette is stocked with everything you need to enjoy a delicious meal at home, including a full-size fridge, electric stovetop, toaster oven, kettle, rice cooker, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies. 

For entertainment, the television comes with complimentary Netflix so you can stream your favorite movies and TV programs. For your comfort, each room in the house is fitted with its own air conditioning and heating console that you can adjust to suit your needs. The downstairs space features an open-plan living and dining area, as well as a Japanese-style tatami mat room with futon bedding and shoji-style paper window covering, making it perfect for those guests who want to embrace the authentically Japanese way of life.  

With two large, full bathrooms, you can take your time to relax and pamper yourself in privacy. Both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms come supplied with toiletries, bath products, a hairdryer, and fluffy towels. 

Looking to the second floor, the large main open bedroom is great for larger traveling groups like families and close friends. There are also dividers between the beds to offer flexible privacy. 

Each bed is fitted with soft, comfortable sheets and the windows have black-out curtains for a restful night’s sleep. You also have access to your own washer, laundry detergent, iron, and ironing board.     Desgin

    Kurumi’s layout was carefully designed for guests’ comfort and convenience. The tatami room on the first floor blends seamlessly into the more western-inspired design of much of the rest of the house giving you the best of both worlds.

    Location

    Hanamizuki Matsu is in a location that puts you right in the middle of the action. It is only a short walk to Hanazonocho Station for the subway. From there it is about 5 minutes from Namba, home of some of Osaka’s most iconic images like the Ebisu Bridge, Glico Man, and the animatronic crab.

    Spacious

    The theme of Hanamizuki Matsu is openness. The combined kitchen, dining and living area on the first floor and the large open room on the second floor offer a sense of wide-open space for guests.

    Large Groups

    Hanamizuki Matsu is also a great option for large groups wishing to stay together. Book it together with nearby houses including Toki, Suzaku, Kurumi and Hanamizuki Namba Minami to accommodate groups of up to 32 people if all 5 properties are booked together.

    Access Information

    From Kansai International Airport

    Take the Nankai Limited Express Rapid to the last stop at Namba Station (39 mins; 7 stops), then transfer to the Yotsubashi Line and go to Hanazonocho Station (4 mins; 2 stops) and walk 7 mins west. Alternatively, take the Nankai Limited Express Rapid to Tengachaya Station (34 mins; 5 stops) and walk from there (9 mins).

     

    From JR Shin-Osaka Station to Hanamizuki MATSU

    Take the Midosuji line from Shin-Osaka south towards Nakamozu, and change trains at Daikokucho (17 mins, 8 stops) to the Yotsubashi line and get off at Hanazonocho (1 min; 1st stop). From there it is 7 mins walk to the house.
